Welcome!

This website portrays the "socially integrative city program" of Berlin. The program is coordinated by the Senate of Berlin, Department of Urban Development. Working together with the affected boroughs of Berlin, the Senate supports 33 socially unstable areas of Berlin by providing neighborhood management, intervention and prevention programs. The "socially integrative city program" is funded by state, federal and European (EFRE) resources.
You can find information on neighborhood management by clicking "The socially integrative city program" at the top left. Information on program themes, the concept of neighborhood management, strategic reorientation, integration, equality of opportunity and citizen participation is also provided in that section.
Maps, documents and examples of projects ("best practice") can be found in the German section under "documentation."
If you wish to search for a specific neighborhood, you can click on the interactive Berlin map, located in the box "neighborhoods" at the top right. Above that box, you can also find a search engine that lets you look up a specific street to determine whether or not it is part of a neighborhood management program.
